About Sam
As a multimedia artist who works primarily in watercolor, glass, & metals I like to be able to express an idea in whatever format fits my vision. Acrylic, printmaking, sculpture, costume design, fibers (knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning sewing), installations. Nothing escapes my grasp when an idea hits.
But it’s all about the living and the extinct. Visions come to me defining the general direction and my intuition leads to unexpected paths of discovery and joy. My focus is on the natural world. Animals, plants, living spaces, portraits. Whatever breathes inspires.
After 20yrs of tattooing and 37 years of painting and art making there’s nothing I can’t pin down when my heart leads me somewhere.
